Sadie Lost Her First Tooth!!!

Two days ago Sadie came to me so excited cause her bottom tooth was loose. She, of course, watched her big sister losing her teeth over the past three years and Sadie could hardly wait until she lost one too. This morning Sadie ran upstairs to find me and was jumping up and down and had the biggest smile on her face. She lost her first tooth!! When she woke up this morning she went and looked in the mirror and saw that her tooth was kindof crooked and so she twisted and pulled it out. Normally she freaks out at the sight of blood anywhere on her body, but that was completely ignored as she ran upstairs to tell me about her tooth. When Scott and I asked her what she thought the tooth fairy was going to bring her she promptly said, $70. WHOA. I had no idea the tooth fairy has raised her rates that high!! HA HA. Guess we'll have to see what the tooth fairy brings....

Grade School Love

You have probably all heard this story, but I wanted to record it here. Last week was Parent/Teacher Conferences. Scott and I both decided to go and it ended up being a good thing since the teachers were running late and I had to see Sadie's teacher while Scott went to see Avalee's teacher.

When Scott was talking to Avalee's teacher he called to Avalee and a woman nearby kindof perked up and asked if Avalee was Scott's daughter and wanted to see who she was. She told Scott that her son was in the same class with Avalee last year and apparently he has a big crush on her. He even named his snake after her. Wow. If that isn't a compliment from a 3rd grade boy, I am not sure what is!

Later we asked Avalee if she knew the boy and she said she did, but that he was really strange. Every time she said hello to him he would run away! Does that remind anyone else of grade school days? Classic.

It's almost been a year.....

This is about typical for me. It has almost been a year since we put anything on our blog. Life gets crazy sometimes. I don't scrapbook or anything quite like that, but I am finding that I am missing out on recording family memories or funny stories and a bunch of other things. The best place for me to record some of the fun things my kids do or say or what we do as a family or even just important events in our life would be right here on our blog since I can't remember where I put my cute book that I am supposed to write down the funny things my kids say and do. (How is that for a run on sentence.) I would like to have a goal to post something to our blog at least once a month. I figured if I posted that goal here for everyone to see I might be more conscious of it. :) So, here is to 2010's blog....Hope I make it!!!
