No, I have not been beating my family!!!

Ok, after all the funny looks I get from everyone I guess it is time for me to post what REALLY has happened to Adrea and Avalee over the past few weeks.

First Adrea:

This is what it started out like. A cluster of blood vessels under her eye. The doctor described it as just like a blackberry.

So Adrea had surgery and then she looked like this:

The blue string that goes above her eye and down was a stitch that helped to keep her eye closed and she had to have that for four days. Then she got that stitched removed and she could finally really open her eye and she looked like this:

About 10 days after the surgery she was able to have the rest of the stitches removed and she looked like this:

She still has a bit of a black eye. I have gotten plenty of questioning looks and all sorts of teasing from our neighbors. But she is doing well. Unfortunately when it rains it pours and so on Thursday, March 6, Avalee added to the idea that I was beating my family.

Next Avalee:

Avalee had gone over to our neighbors house and wanted to see their dogs that were out in the front yard. She was petting one of the dogs and turned to leave and the dog got excited and jumped up and got avalee right on the lip . So Adrea had to run Avalee to the hospital for stitches and I met her there from work. We had a wonderful plastic surgeon help put Avalee's lip back together for us, but he gave instructions that she was to be on a liquid diet for 7 days and that she was to talk like a ventriloquist for 3 weeks and to not have any big activity like jumping around and such. Needless to say, it's been very hard for Avalee to do.

Her lip is looking much better and she is SOOO happy to be able to eat solid foods again. To celebrate we took her out to her favorite restaurant Tepanyaki!

So I am not beating my family, I promise. It's just the Reynolds luck!
